The letter, titled “GOOD WORK IS WORTH RECOGNITION: CELEBRATING THE ACHIEVEMENT OF PRESIDENT MUSEVENI,” indicated the President’s acceptance to join the celebrations, highlighting his significant contributions to the nation over the past decades.

Economic Growth: Uganda's average real economic growth has been 6% from 1986 to 2024, surpassing Sub-Saharan Africa’s average of 3.8% and the global average of 2.9%.
Economic Expansion: The economy has grown from Shs14.4 trillion in 1986 to Shs202 trillion (USD 53.3 billion) in 2024.
GDP Per Capita: The GDP per capita has risen to USD 1,146.
Revenue Collection: Domestic revenue collection has increased from Shs5 billion in 1986 to Shs27.725 trillion in 2023/24.
Diaspora Remittances: Remittances from Ugandans abroad have grown from $119 million in 1991 to USD 1.43 billion in 2023.
Electricity Access: The population accessing electricity has increased to 57.2%, up from 5.6% in 1991, with electricity generation rising to 1,847.5 MW from 150 MW in 1986.
Industrial Growth: The number of operational factories has surged from 80 in 1986 to over 5,000 by 2023.
Life Expectancy: Average life expectancy has improved from 48 years in 1995 to 63 years by 2023.
Maternal Mortality: The maternal mortality ratio has significantly reduced from 506 per 100,000 live births in 1986 to 189 by 2023.
Road Network: The paved road network has expanded to 6,133 km in 2023, compared to 1,000 km in 1986.
