Equity Bank Uganda Hosts #TupangeBusinessNeEquity Workshop in Luweero

Luweero town buzzed with excitement as Equity Bank Uganda hosted its #TupangeBusinessNeEquity workshop at the Luweero Diocese Guest House. The event was a melting pot of business ideas, networking opportunities, and discussions on the bank's latest services. It attracted a diverse group of attendees, including local entrepreneurs, government representatives, and bank officials.


Joseph Sebudde, Director of Rapha Primary School, highlighted the significance of government initiatives like the Parish Development Model (PDM). He emphasized that such initiatives enhance people's spending power, ultimately supporting their businesses and allowing them to benefit from governmental efforts. Sebudde's remarks underscored the symbiotic relationship between government policies and private sector growth.


Mr. Johnson Galabuzi, Head of Retail and SME at Equity Bank, delivered welcoming remarks and provided an in-depth overview of the bank's operations. He proudly announced that Equity Bank has reached a milestone of 2.1 million customers nationwide. Galabuzi elaborated on various operational mechanisms of the bank, focusing on products tailored to benefit all categories of business customers across the country. He reiterated the bank's commitment to supporting and promoting business growth through such initiatives.


"Equity Bank's presence in the market has been strengthened by our dedication to understanding and meeting the needs of our customers. Our products and services are designed to foster business growth and provide financial assistance where it's needed most," Galabuzi stated. His remarks were met with enthusiasm as attendees recognized the tangible support the bank offers to the business community.


Hon. Nadduli Abdul, in his speech, urged participants to leverage the opportunities presented by Equity Bank to assist in their business growth. "Let's look for partners with skills that can assist our businesses to grow since birds of a feather flock together," he advised. Hon. Nadduli stressed the importance of collaboration and skill-sharing among entrepreneurs to achieve collective success.


The workshop also featured an awards ceremony recognizing the most outstanding customers of Equity Bank in Luweero. This segment highlighted the bank's appreciation for its loyal clientele and reinforced its commitment to customer-centric service delivery.
