In a remarkable show of growth, the Faith of Unity, led by Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka, has significantly cemented its grassroots presence in the Busoga region, particularly in Bugiri District.

During a three-day visit from December 14th to 16th, 2024, at Busazi A Village, Bugiri Town Council, over 1,000 individuals openly embraced the Faith despite reported threats from unknown forces. This surge highlights the Faith’s appeal and growing influence in an area historically associated with opposition politics.

*Emphasis on Oneness and Development*
While addressing multitudes of followers and new converts, Owobusobozi Bisaka emphasized the core message of the Faith of Unity—oneness. He urged believers to rise above religious, tribal, and political divides to foster unity and development across Uganda. "The Faith of Unity focuses on ending disunity among people, regardless of tribe or religion. Oneness is the path to peace and development," Owobusobozi proclaimed.
Owobusobozi Bisaka also commended the leadership of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) government, attributing the success and growth of the Faith to the peace, security, and freedom provided under Museveni’s rule. "If it wasn’t for President Museveni, who investigated and dismantled propaganda spread against the Faith in the 1980s and 1990s, our work would have stalled. We thank the President for enabling us to thrive, and as believers of the Faith of Unity, we all stand with NRM," Owobusobozi noted.
*Growing Support for Faith and NRM in Bugiri*

This recent visit follows a brief stopover in October 2024 when Owobusobozi passed through Bugiri after attending Independence Day celebrations. During that visit, over 700 individuals from Bugiri District joined the Faith of Unity, with many reportedly experiencing healing from spiritual and bodily ailments at no cost. Encouraged by their faith and testimonies, the people of Bugiri requested Owobusobozi to return for a more extended engagement.
Honoring their request, Owobusobozi’s December visit drew even greater numbers, with over 400 additional individuals joining the Faith, bringing the total number of new converts in Bugiri District to 1,389. The Faith of Unity’s teachings not only encourage spiritual growth but also emphasize unwavering support for President Museveni and the NRM government. “To be a believer in the Faith of Unity, one must also support the government because our Faith’s objective is to promote peace and development, which aligns with the NRM's vision,” Owobusobozi reiterated.

*Faith of Unity Calendar and Worship Structure*
During his teachings, Owobusobozi Bisaka distributed the Faith of Unity calendar, which designates three resting days each month for believers. These days are exclusively devoted to praise and worship, fostering a disciplined spiritual and communal life. This structure encourages adherents to balance their faith with their daily work commitments, promoting both spiritual fulfillment and economic productivity.
*Mobilizing for NRM Beyond Bugiri*
After his impactful visit to Bugiri, Owobusobozi Bisaka is set to continue his outreach in Mubende District. This upcoming visit will focus on spreading the Faith of Unity’s teachings and mobilizing support for President Museveni and the NRM government. Owobusobozi’s tireless efforts underscore his commitment to fostering unity, peace, and political stability across Uganda.

The Faith of Unity’s rapid growth in Busoga, particularly in Bugiri District, marks a significant milestone for Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka and his followers.

Despite challenges and opposition, the Faith continues to attract individuals seeking spiritual healing, unity, and development. With its strong alignment to the NRM’s peace and stability agenda, the Faith of Unity is positioned to play a significant role in shaping both the spiritual and political landscape in Uganda.

As Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka prepares to extend his outreach to Mubende and beyond, the Faith of Unity’s message of oneness and unwavering support for the NRM is resonating deeply with Ugandans across the country.
