FUFA Announce Uganda Cranes Ticket Prices and Squad for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers

In anticipation of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, the FUFA have announced ticket prices, shortly after releasing Uganda Cranes 28-player squad for their upcoming matches against Botswana and Algeria. These games mark the national team's much-anticipated return to Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, after a long hiatus since 2019.

Ticket Prices

Fans eagerly awaiting to support the Cranes can purchase tickets starting this Wednesday, 29th May 2024. The ticket prices per game are as follows:

Ordinary: UGX 25,000

VIP: UGX 50,000

Platinum: UGX 100,000

Additionally, there will be discounted double tickets available, allowing fans to watch both matches at a reduced price:

Ordinary: UGX 40,000

VIP: UGX 75,000

These competitive prices are expected to attract a large crowd, providing robust support for the national team.

Match Schedule

Uganda will face Botswana on 7th June, followed by a clash with Algeria on 10th June 2024. Both matches will be played under floodlights with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 PM EAT. The return to Namboole is a significant event for both players and fans, rekindling the vibrant match-day atmosphere.

Uganda Cranes Head Coach Put Paul Joseph has summoned a squad of 28 players to embark on preparations for the forthcoming qualifiers. The team, a blend of domestic talent and international experience, is as follows:

Coach's Vision

Coach Put has expressed confidence in the squad, emphasizing the players' readiness and physical condition. "I believe the players summoned are in the right shape and in perfect condition to represent the country," he stated. The coach also highlighted the emotional and motivational boost of returning to Namboole, which has been a fortress for the Cranes over the years. "Uganda Cranes returning to Namboole is a big motivation for us because the fans have missed the chance to watch the team. I believe the players will also be motivated to play at home again," he added.

Preparations

The team is set to enter a residential camp on 30th May 2024, as they intensify preparations for the crucial fixtures. This period will be vital for the team to build cohesion and strategy, aiming for a successful start to their World Cup qualifying campaign.
