Ronald Otti Joins Kitara FC: Boosting the Royals' Defensive Line

Kitara FC has secured the services of Ronald Otti, officially unveiled in Kampala by club president Deo Kasozi. Otti, renowned for his defensive prowess and recent accolades as the best defender in the Uganda Premier League Awards, joins the Hoima-based club on a year-long contract, extending until June 2025.


Amidst interest from several other clubs, Otti expressed his excitement at joining Kitara FC, emphasizing his belief in the club's potential: "I believe this is the right choice and place for me to be. Kitara is an exciting club, and I hope my experience can contribute to the team's success."


A commanding center-back known for his game reading ability, aerial prowess, and physicality, Otti is set to bolster Kitara FC's defensive options under head coach Brian Ssenyondo. His arrival comes as Kitara FC prepares to represent Uganda in the upcoming CAF Confederations Cup starting in August 2024, highlighting Otti's importance in enhancing squad depth and strength.


Otti will vie for a starting position alongside established defenders such as Benjamin Nyakoojo, Maxwell Owachigiu, Arthur Kiggundu, and David Kasaija, promising healthy competition in the heart of Kitara FC's defense.


At 5'11" and 75 kgs, Otti, a right-footed player born on December 6, 2000, brings youth and skill to Kitara FC's defensive strategy. His commitment and dedication are set to make a significant impact as the Royals aim for success in domestic and continental competitions.
