By John Kusolo

Seventeen-time champions of the Startimes Uganda Premier League, SC Villa, are set to represent Uganda in the upcoming Council of East and Central Africa Football Association (CECAFA) Kagame Cup. The prestigious tournament is scheduled to take place from July 6th to July 22nd, 2024, in Tanzania and Zanzibar. This tournament was initially planned to run from July 20th to August 4th in Tanzania but was rescheduled due to the congested CAF calendar. The move underscores the importance of the Kagame Cup within the region’s football calendar.
