24 Coaches Complete CAF A Coaching Course at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru

A significant milestone in Uganda’s football development was achieved on Saturday evening as 24 coaches successfully completed the CAF A Coaching Course at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru. The coaches, who had undergone an intensive training program aimed at enhancing their tactical, technical, and leadership skills, were awarded certificates of completion in a ceremony that underscored the growing commitment to improving football standards in Uganda.

The CAF A Coaching Course is a prestigious qualification that equips coaches with the necessary tools to manage and develop top-tier football teams. It is part of a broader initiative by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to elevate the level of coaching across the continent, ensuring that African football remains competitive on the global stage. The completion of this course is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the 24 coaches, who have now achieved one of the highest coaching qualifications recognized by CAF.

The closing ceremony, which took place at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru, was graced by key figures in Uganda’s football scene. FUFA’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Humphrey Mandu, was the guest of honor, and he praised the coaches for their commitment to improving their skills and contributing to the growth of football in Uganda. Mandu noted that the completion of the CAF A course marked an important step in the country's journey towards football excellence and affirmed FUFA’s continuous effort to enhance the quality of coaching across all levels of the game.

"The completion of this course is a great achievement, not just for the coaches, but for the entire football community in Uganda. We are confident that these coaches will use the knowledge gained to develop talent, improve the performance of teams, and ultimately help elevate Ugandan football to greater heights," Mandu stated during the ceremony.

The CAF A Coaching Course is designed to provide coaches with advanced knowledge in various areas, including team management, tactical awareness, fitness, player development, and leadership. The course emphasizes practical applications and prepares coaches to work at the highest levels of football. It also covers mental and psychological aspects of coaching, ensuring that coaches are well-equipped to handle the diverse challenges of managing top-flight teams.

By completing the CAF A course, these coaches now have the capability to oversee both senior and youth teams, contributing to the overall development of Uganda’s football infrastructure. Their newly acquired skills will be instrumental in guiding Uganda’s next generation of football stars, furthering the mission to build competitive and sustainable teams at the national and club levels.
