By John Kusolo

Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka, the spiritual leader and founder of the Faith of Unity, has once again demonstrated his extraordinary powers by reviving a four-year-old boy, Turinomugisha Brighton, who had been abandoned by his parents for over four months at Bunyola Hill in Butunduzi Subcounty, Kyenjojo District. This miraculous incident has drawn renewed attention to the influence and healing powers attributed to Bisaka by his followers.

Brighton, a boy left to fend for himself after being abandoned by his father—referred to as “Apostle”—was reportedly left as a sacrifice to witchdoctors. According to Brighton’s account, he survived for months on the hill before being brought to a Faith of Unity event, where Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka intervened and restored him to life.

The dramatic revival captivated the large audience at the Faith of Unity gathering, held in Butunduzi Town Council on January 5th, 2025. For many believers, this incident further solidifies their faith in Bisaka’s divine power to heal and restore life.

Owobusobozi Bisaka’s visit to Kanyinya Bukwenda was part of a three-day mission where he taught and healed individuals suffering from various physical and spiritual afflictions. The visit culminated in an event organized by believers in Butunduzi Town Council, attracting thousands of attendees from different regions and religious backgrounds.

During the event, Bisaka welcomed over 246 new converts who joined the Faith of Unity. He urged the new members to support government programs and align themselves with the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party, emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration for national development.

The event also marked a significant milestone in the growth of the Faith of Unity as Owobusobozi Bisaka inaugurated 420 new staff members, known as "Bahereza." These individuals are tasked with spreading the movement’s teachings and supporting its organizational activities. With their addition, the Faith of Unity’s capacity to reach more people continues to expand.

The gathering was a platform for numerous testimonies from attendees who shared their experiences of healing and transformation through Owobusobozi’s intervention.

One of the most notable testimonies came from Mariam Nakayistya of Kyegwegwa District. Mariam recounted how her mother, who had been suffering from cancer and was nearing death, regained her health after invoking the name of Owobusobozi Bisaka. This story, among others, reinforced the belief in Bisaka’s divine abilities among his followers.

Under the leadership of Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka, the Faith of Unity has grown into a spiritual and social force, attracting followers from diverse backgrounds. The movement emphasizes unity, healing, and spiritual guidance, resonating with many Ugandans seeking solutions to life’s challenges.

The revival of Turinomugisha Brighton and the healing testimonies shared at the Kanyinya Bukwenda gathering highlight the profound impact of Owobusobozi Bisaka’s teachings and actions. As the Faith of Unity continues to expand, it remains a powerful influence on the spiritual and social fabric of Uganda. For believers, Bisaka is not just a spiritual leader but a symbol of hope, healing, and divine intervention.

The remarkable events in Butunduzi Town Council are a testament to the transformative power of faith and unity, as championed by Owobusobozi Bisaka and his growing movement.
