Uganda 's Solech Academy under -17 Boys Team Takes on Dana Cup 2024 in Denmark Scoring 3 Goals

In the vibrant city of Hjørring, Denmark, the Dana Cup 2024 has attracted 1,018 teams from around the world, bringing together 15,984 players across 19 categories for an exhilarating soccer competition.

Frank Peterson Sales Manager Africa, Dana Cup helped Solech Academy be part of the Dana Cup. However, Frank is out of his former club collaboration in Uganda, and now the Head of Goal keeping in the Danish top team, Fortuna Hjorring.

Among these teams, Solech Academy from Kampala, Uganda, proudly represents their nation in the Boys 17 (11:11) category.


A Journey of 6,700 Kilometers

Solech Academy, based in Kampala, Uganda, embarked on a remarkable journey, traveling approximately 6,700 kilometers to participate in this prestigious event. Despite the considerable distance, the team’s spirit and determination remain undeterred as they seek to make their mark on the international stage.


Group 11 Dynamics

The Boys 17 category features 73 teams from 16 countries, divided into 18 groups. Solech Academy finds itself in Group 11, competing against formidable opponents:


Germany: SuS Stadtlohn 19/20 e.V.

Norway: Hinna Fotball

Malaysia: Kuala Lumpur Youth Soccer

Performance and Exposure

Despite a challenging start, Solech Academy's under-17 boys have gained invaluable experience. They have played four matches, resulting in four losses. The results are as follows:

Goals: 12-0 (+12)

Points: 9

Norway: Hinna Fotball

Goals: 15-4 (+11)

Uganda: SOLECH ACADEMY

Points: 0

Although the results may not reflect their potential, the exposure gained by playing against such high-caliber teams is invaluable for the young players. Every match serves as a stepping stone for growth and improvement, providing lessons that are integral to their development.
